The Invisalign Braces ProcessThe Invisalign process is designed to be as seamless as possible. You will experience hassle-free results with the help and support of Dr. Cardon. By wearing a set of custom-designed aligners we will gradually shift your teeth until they are straight and you have a proper bite. All of this is accomplished in a series of steps that we will explain below.
Design Treatment PlanBefore we begin your Invisalign treatment we need to have a detailed understanding of your smile. We want to make sure that your teeth are healthy before we begin any procedure. When you come in for your consultation, Dr. Cardon will examine your teeth and ask you some questions about your oral health history. In order to be the right candidate for Invisalign, we want to ensure that you don’t have any other dental work that needs to be done, such as extractions or any other factors that might get in the way. Once we have done this, we will begin to design your treatment plan. Dr. Cardon will perform a digital scan of your teeth to understand which parts of your smile we need to focus on. He will use this to gauge the duration of your Invisalign treatment. We will use the scans that we take to design your aligners and give you an estimate of what the treatment will cost.
Decide if Orthodontic Acceleration Is for YouAfter you have received this information, you can ask questions and decide if Invisalign is for you. We can address any doubts that you have and discuss alternative treatments and payment plans. Once you have decided that you are ready to move forward we will get to work designing your aligners.
Receive Your Custom Aligners and Get StartedWe will send the scans of your teeth to the lab where your aligners will be designed. In a few weeks, your aligners will be ready for you to pick up. We will give you instructions on how to wear them, and your journey to beautifully aligned teeth will begin!
Change Your Aligners as NeededAfter you are finished with each set of aligners, you will receive a new set. Each set of aligners is designed to move your teeth in a specific direction. We will give you instructions on how to wear them, and you will periodically come into our office to make sure that your treatment runs smoothly.

Will Invisalign Clear Braces Work For Me?Great question! Invisalign is a great fit for patients that want straight teeth and a proper bite in a short amount of time and don’t want to want to deal with the inconvenience of traditional braces. We have used Invisalign to provide great smiles for patients experiencing the following:
- Crowded Teeth: Teeth can crowd together for many reasons. They might have grown in naturally with little space between them, or they could have shifted out of position over time. Crowded teeth can make it easier to develop cavities and make chewing more painful. Invisalign clear aligners will straighten out your teeth that have bunched together and give them the healthy breathing room that they need.
- Crossbites, Underbites, and Overbites: Typically when patients think about orthodontics they primarily consider how their smile will look, but it’s equally important to consider the health of your smile. Crossbites, underbites, and overbites can create pain when chewing and cause future issues with gum loss. In some cases, they might lead to pervasive grinding of your teeth. Invisalign will align your bite so that you no longer have to worry about these issues.
